1. Who we are
Weighted is an iOS app that provides curated news and explanations about developments in artificial intelligence. This policy covers the Weighted app, the website at tryweighted.com, and support requests sent to support@tryweighted.com.
2. Using the app
Weighted does not require an account or ask you to provide your name, email address, or profile information to read briefings. It downloads published briefing text and audio from Cloudflare-hosted storage over HTTPS. The current app does not include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs.
Display preferences are stored locally on your device. Searches of briefings are handled inside the app rather than sent to an online search service. Weighted does not send user-written prompts to AI models: briefings are prepared before publication, not generated from personal information about individual readers.
3. Technical information
As with other internet services, requests to our website and briefing hosting service involve information such as your IP address, requested URL, time of request, and standard HTTP headers. Cloudflare may process this information to deliver content, protect the service, and diagnose technical issues. Any storage or retention of such request information depends on the Cloudflare services and logging settings in use.
We do not operate an account database or intentionally create behavioral profiles of individual readers through the current Weighted app.
4. Contacting support
If you email us, we receive the email address you send from and the contents of your message, including any details you choose to share. We use that information to answer your question, investigate issues, and manage support correspondence. Email addressed to support@tryweighted.com is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to our Google-hosted inbox, so those providers also process the relevant email information.
Please do not send passwords, financial records, or other sensitive personal information in support emails.
5. Third-party services and links
Cloudflare provides our website hosting and briefing/audio delivery infrastructure. Google provides our support inbox. You may also choose to open links from Weighted to third-party news and company websites; those websites operate under their own privacy policies.
We do not sell personal information or use the current app for cross-app advertising tracking.
6. Retention and security
App appearance preferences remain on your device until you change or remove them. We keep support correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to respond, handle related issues, or meet applicable obligations. Technical request information, if retained by Cloudflare, is subject to its service settings and applicable policies. We use HTTPS to deliver the app's published content and take reasonable steps to safeguard information, though no service can guarantee perfect security.
7. Your choices and requests
You can use Weighted without creating an account. You can change display preferences in the app, and you can request access to or deletion of support correspondence by contacting support@tryweighted.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law.

We may revise this policy if our practices change. Any updated version will be published on this page with its effective date.
